Al Ain Distribution Company , an affiliate of Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority ,had organized several activities on the occasion of the World Water Day that mark on 22nd March every year at Al Ain Mall Shopping Center, the crucial aim of such activities is to spread the awareness and stress on the importance of preserving water and the wise use of it.
The celebration activities started at AL Ain Mall with a showpiece to the Cartoon Mascot Characters named Qattora, Noor and Salama who received the mall visitors and guide them to the activities arena , these symbolic characters were designed to be used at exhibitions and the company conservation campaigns around the year to increase the public awareness in an attractive and funny ways and to teach the school students and children how to preserve water and electricity .
The activities also included cultural competitions and amusing awareness shows to the visitors and public in addition to a painting area allotted to the children to express their feelings and stress on the importance of water in the daily life, also there was a painting show in which a lot of the children’s portrayals and paintings had been demonstrated , these drawings were collected from previous conservation campaigns that were organized by the company to the students at the governmental and private schools in Al Ain City under the theme “Save Today for Better Tomorrow.
The company had demonstrated a live show to a water tab and smart meter that gauge the differences and energy lost when using energy saving tools and the usage of normal instruments.
