Selecting an energy efficient washing machine:

Front-loading models – They use half as much as top-loading or twin-tub washing machines.
Water and energy-efficient settings – Select models with eco-friendly settings that use less water and electricity per load.
Good general water efficiency – For example, a 7kg machine that uses 70 Liters per wash would be a good choice and that would optimize your water consumption. Newer models can even detect the size of your load and adjust water levels for you.
The right size for your household - Select a size that’s appropriate for your house, not the one with the largest capacity. A machine that is bigger than you require wastes unnecessary water and energy.
