• Use high energy efficient fluorescent lights.
• Minimize or turn off indoor and outdoor lights during the day and make use of natural light as far as possible.
• Use timers or photovoltaic cells for boundary lamps to prevent lighting during day time.
• Use the appropriate number of lamps as per the place area and the actual need for lighting.
• Use bright colors while painting of the internal walls, this will help in reflecting of lights that can provide good
• lighting with less numbers of lamps.
• Maintenance and periodical cleaning of the lightening units will increase their efficiency.
• Turn your lights and air conditioning off when you step out of the house.
