AADC Participates in Middle East Energy &
Water Exhibition 2012
AADC Participation inWorld
Diabetes Day
Regarding AADC participation, Mr.
Mohammad bin Omair Al-Shamsi,
AADC General Manager stressed that
“Exhibition is a global forum to meet
future industry leaders, and CEOs,
and that AADC pays attention to its
participation in this exhibition to meet
experts and engineers specialized in
energy field, to exchange experiences
and to benefit from symposiums and
workshops accompanying exhibition.
Al-Shamsi added that “Our participation
in this exhibition provides us many
objectives and benefits. In addition to
access to new technologies in energy
& environment field, exhibition is an
opportunity to present 32 different
projects regarding energy and water in
Al Ain Area.
A number of projects regarding
infrastructure and service development
were highlighted including water &
electricity projects, including the major
electric project of transferring all aerial
wires to 11 KV ground cables, at Al-Ain
downtown in addition to other areas
such as Al-Showaib, Al-Markhania, Al-
Yahar & Mazyad.
Furthermore seven 33/11 KV stations
were operated for a total capacity of
60 MVA during 2012, Zoo, Nemah,
Hili, Al-Ghadeer, Al-Alia, Al-Moqam &
Al-Niyadat stations.
33 KV grid was supported by
extending 200 km of high voltage
cables, participating to more stability
in Al-Ain electric grid.
Regarding water projects, water
networks were developed, and old
lines replaced, bringing total length of
current lines to more than 4000 km,
in enhancement of water distribution
capabilities.
AADC participated in the events of Middle East
Energy & Water Exhibition (MEEWE) 2012,
organized by Abu Dhabi National Exhibition
Center, within ADEWA pavilion, during which
AADC presented 32 projects related to energy &
water field.
AADCparticipates inWorldDiabetesDay activities, in cooperation
with Al-Noor Hospital, Cromwell Hospital, in coincidence with
Health Authority-Abu Dhabi,World Diabetes Association &WHO
celebrations on the occasion ofWorld Diabetes Day, held on 14th
November each year.
On this occasion His Excellency
Mohammad bin Omair Al-Shamsi
declared that AADC used to participate
inWorld Diabetes Day, to enhance staff
health awareness and to participate to
public efforts to control and educate
the public regarding diabetes and its
risks.
He added that AADC is keen to organize
health events on regular basis, to
encourage staff to perform early health
tests to avoid problems.
Program included some medical checks
such as blood pressure, diabetes, weight
& length measure, in addition to body
mass, and fats rate, along with provision
of a balanced nutritional program
and free consultancies by a group of
physicians.
Al-Noor Hospital medical team
distributed free diabetes check system
to AADC staff and visitors, in addition
to medical advice regarding nutritional
habits to diabetes patients, and
distribution of educational publications
regarding diabetes and prevention
methods.
