Collective Iftar for
AADC Employees
AADC organized a collective Iftar
(Ramadan fast-breaking) for its
employees in the presence of the
General Manager, Mohamed Bin
Omair Al Shamsi and departments
managers and sections heads.
This Iftar comes in line with the
company’s care for meeting and
communicating with its employees
in a manner that conforms to the
imprint of Ramadan month, which
urges promotion of human relations
and entrenchment of principles of
partnership and teamwork spirit.
General Manager, Al Shamasi noted
the importance of Ramadan meetings,
which reflects eagerness to enhance
social relations among employees
away fromdailywork routine andwithin
familial ambience that strengthens
the concept of social harmony and
coherence.
He added that the company focuses
on social meetings that take place
beyond the framework and scope
of work, stressing that AADC always
seeks to increase cultural and societal
initiatives and activities, being a
significant element in promoting career
affiliation, which leaves positive effects
on overall performance.
It is worth noting that the company, on
the first day of Ramadan, carried out
the Ramadan Basket Project, which
targeted distributing food baskets
among 300 needy families.
In coincidence with the noble month,
the basket included necessary items
required in every house, with each
consisting of bags of rice, flour and
sugar, and oil bottles.
workshop titled,
“Contractors , Consultants
environment, health and
safety requirements”
AADC organized its first workshop
for contractors and consultants
dealing with it, in Al Ain Rotana Hotel,
with the participation of Abu Dhabi
Environment, Health and Safety
Center and Al Noor Hospital, with
the purpose of ensuring health and
safety of the company staff, partners
and clients through constant
development of environmental
and health performance. It also
involved informing the companies
dealing with AADC about necessary
measures and precautions during
projects implementation.
During the workshop, AADC
presented a working paper titled,
“Lessons learnt from accidents, the
means to avoid it, and adherence
to environment, health and safety
requirements,” through engineer
Muhammad Abu Salih, from Safety,
Health, Environment, Security, and
Quality Department. Similarly, Abu
Dhabi Environment, Health and
Safety Center presented a paper
titled, “ADEHSC Consultations
Mandatory Requirements,” while
Al Noor Hospital concluded the
workshop with paper on the
danger of laborers’ exposure to
high temperature in the outer
environment and inside factories.
AADC organization of such
workshops conforms to the Abu
Dhabi environment, health and
safety system that aims at applying
an integrated system for the
management of environment, health
and safety through securing a unified
mechanism all over the emirate,
which facilitates enforcement of
legislations related to conservation
of environment and occupational
health. For, this would contribute
to protection of lives, properties
and environment. It also coincides
with the launching of UAE Ministry
of Labour Campaign to ban work at
noon time.
