AADC organized an innovation competition for its employee’s projects during the initiatives of innovation month

AADC organized an innovation competition during its first round as the first initiatives of “UAE innovation month”, which launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in order to boost UAE place as a global center for innovation and to upgrade the system of work and initiatives that aimed to improve the quantity of government systems and services. Therefore, AADC arranged an innovation exhibition to present employees’ innovations in different fields as well as honoring the winners who were selected by arbitration committee in cooperation with representatives of UAE University; Dr. Shawqi Kharbash, Executive Director of the UAEU Science and Innovation Park and Dr. Khaula AlKaabi, UAEU Chief Innovation Officer.

Furthermore, AADC Acting Managing Director, Abdulla Al Sheryani stated that our company participated in this occasion to reflect its commitment to follow our wise leadership directives in promoting competitiveness, creativity, innovation and create a vital thinking environment that able to provide new and excellence work in all fields at different work sectors in the company. We believe that will help in adopting and wide spreading innovation culture among government entities by encourage and inspire employees to give more innovations that will contribute in upgrade the company level and excellency of customer services.

In line with the UAE innovation month, AADC conducted many events, exhibitions and initiatives to encourage employees toward creativity and innovation. The company is always care to listen to creative ideas of employees, studying them, adopting them and turned them into real projects, in way to translates its strategic targets.

In addition, the first creativity and innovation exhibition contains 34 diversity projects of techniques, services, operations, systems and procedures. One of the main projects was a mini device to test low voltage cables, which enables the service return to customer with low voltage and less cost. Another project is a mobile maintenance project where work orders sent through maximo to the tablets to proceed the maintenance immediately whether maximo is connect to Wi-Fi or not. Moreover, electric gloves that keep workers safe by sending light and sound alerts if user is closer to alive electrical equipment. 

Finally, Dr. Mahmoud Al Hader, chief of AADC Creativity and Innovation Council gave a lecture titled “Innovation culture” to boost the meanings of corporate innovation and to turn it into work to ensure an effective permanent corporate culture among the company.
